When we spent a week in El Gouna in November 2022, we split our stay between two very different hotels.
We began at the Fanadir Hotel, then moved to the four-star Three Corners Ocean View Hotel Resort for a week.
It was the perfect combination. The Fanadir gave us a quieter introduction to the marina area, while Three Corners Ocean View felt like the place where we could properly settle in, slow down, and enjoy everything that makes El Gouna so memorable.
With its marina views, adults-only atmosphere, welcoming staff, and relaxed waterfront setting, it became one of those hotels we still talk about.
We stayed in a superior room with a marina view, and waking up to boats, clear blue water, and the soft buzz of the resort city below was a real highlight of our time on Egypt’s Red Sea coast.
We share what our stay at Three Corners Ocean View Hotel Resort was really like, from the rooms, food, and service to the beach, pool, and location.

Our Stay at Three Corners Ocean View Hotel Resort
Three Corners Ocean View sits in one of El Gouna’s most scenic areas, surrounded by the marina, canals, and the Red Sea beyond. The setting immediately feels different from a standard beach resort.
Instead of being tucked away from the destination, you are right in the middle of its waterfront energy while still having space to unwind.
The hotel itself has that warm Egyptian resort style we loved throughout El Gouna, with arched details, earthy colors, landscaped courtyards, and open views over the water.
In the evenings, the marina became especially beautiful, with boats moving through the lagoon and the lights beginning to come on around the resort.
The adults-only approach was a big positive for us. It gave the hotel a quieter, more peaceful feel, especially around the pool and beach, and made it a great choice for couples or anyone looking for a more laid-back Red Sea stay.
Our Superior Marina View Room
Our superior room was spacious, comfortable, and well designed for relaxing between beach days and adventures.
It had a large bed, a seating area, and a clean, modern bathroom with a walk-in shower.
But it was the marina view that made it special. Looking out over the water and yachts gave the room a real sense of place.
El Gouna is known for its lagoons and marina lifestyle, and this was one of the best ways to experience it without even leaving the hotel.

The Pool, Private Beach and Waterfront View
The pool area was one of our favorite places to spend a slower afternoon. It was spacious, clean, and surrounded by comfortable loungers, with the hotel’s architecture framing the space beautifully.
The hotel also has its own beach area. It was relatively small, so travelers looking for a huge stretch of sand may prefer one of El Gouna’s larger beaches, but it was more than enough for a few relaxing hours in the sun.
There were loungers, parasols, and calm water nearby, giving us an easy place to switch off without needing to go far.
The waterfront position also made the hotel feel connected to the sea throughout the day.
We could watch boats coming and going from the marina, enjoy the breeze from the lagoon, and take in those beautiful Red Sea sunsets.
Food, Service and the Peanut Bar
The food was very good and had enough variety to keep things interesting during our stay.
That matters when you are spending several days at a resort, because the same dining options can quickly begin to feel repetitive. Here, we found the quality consistent, and there was plenty to choose from.
We also enjoyed the hotel’s more social spaces, especially the Peanut Bar. Peanuts were served for free, and rather than collecting the shells, guests simply threw them onto the floor around the pool table area.
It was a quirky little tradition that gave the bar real character and made it feel far less generic than a typical hotel bar.
The bar is part of Three Corners Ocean View but is open to non-residents too, so it can be a fun place to stop for a drink or a game of pool even if you are staying elsewhere in El Gouna.
We enjoyed spending time there in the evenings, relaxing after days on the water, in the desert, or exploring the marina.
What stood out most, though, was the staff. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. It never felt forced. There was simply a genuine warmth to the service that made the whole hotel feel easy and comfortable to stay in.
A Brilliant Location for Exploring El Gouna
One of the biggest reasons we would recommend Three Corners Ocean View is its location.
El Gouna is very walkable in the main marina areas, and from the hotel we could easily reach local restaurants, amenities, and the lively waterfront atmosphere that makes the resort city so different from other Red Sea destinations.
We loved being able to enjoy the hotel’s food and facilities while still having plenty of nearby options for dinner.
It was also a great base for getting out on the water. During our stay, we took a private boat tour into the Red Sea and went snorkeling, which gave us a completely different perspective on El Gouna’s coastline.

The hotel also helped us arrange our journey to Luxor and Karnak. While it was a long day, seeing the ancient temples, the Valley of the Kings, and the Nile was absolutely worth it.

Is Three Corners Ocean View Good Value?
For us, absolutely. Considering the adults-only setting, marina location, welcoming service, food, room quality, and access to a private beach and pool, it felt like excellent value for money.
It delivered the more polished, relaxing part of an El Gouna stay without feeling overly formal or inaccessible.
This is especially a good choice for couples, adults traveling with friends, or anyone who wants a quieter hotel base while still being close to restaurants, activities, and the marina.
How to Get There
The closest airport is Hurghada International Airport (HRG), around 30 to 40 minutes south of El Gouna by road. Three Corners Ocean View is in Abu Tig Marina, one of El Gouna’s most scenic and walkable areas
From there, the simplest option is to arrange a private transfer in advance, either through your hotel, holiday provider, or a trusted local transfer company.
Once you arrive, you are within easy reach of waterfront restaurants, bars, shops, and the marina promenade, so there is little need for a car during your stay.
Taxis are available from Hurghada Airport, but we would recommend confirming the fare before setting off or booking ahead for a smoother arrival.
If you are staying elsewhere in El Gouna first, such as the Fanadir Hotel, as we did, the journey to Three Corners Ocean View is only a short local taxi or rickshaw ride.

One of the easiest ways to experience more of El Gouna is by booking a local tour. Whether you want to get out on the Red Sea for snorkeling, explore the desert by ATV, or take on the longer journey to Luxor and Karnak, there is plenty to see beyond the resort.
Tips for Visiting Three Corners Ocean View Hotel
✅ Choose a marina-view room if it fits your budget. The water and boat views were a real part of what made our stay feel special.
✅ Remember that the hotel’s private beach is small. It is lovely for a relaxed few hours, but do not book expecting a long, wide sandy beach.
✅ Leave time to explore outside the resort. The marina location makes it easy to enjoy local restaurants, bars, and El Gouna’s waterfront atmosphere.
✅ Use the hotel as a solid base for Red Sea activities. We enjoyed a private boat trip (via the hotel) and snorkeling during our stay.
✅ Ask reception about tours and transfers. We arranged our Luxor and Karnak day trip through the hotel, and it was brilliant.
✅ If a quiet couples-style stay matters to you, confirm the current adults-only policy before booking, as hotel policies can change.

Three Corners Ocean View Hotel Resort gave us exactly the stay we wanted in El Gouna: peaceful but well located, comfortable but full of character, and backed by service that made us feel genuinely welcome.
The beach is smaller than some travelers may expect, but the marina views, adults-only atmosphere, superb service, and excellent overall value more than made up for it!
