Love ALWAYS finds a way... No matter how far down you are it will pluck you by the strings and hoist you up into the good stuff. You may have it or you may not but we all have a twin flame out there somewhere. I am sure of it. You don't even have to look! Love comes to you... It is just the way of things. That's my humble perspective anyway!
Before you read on, you may have noticed that this is Jenn & Leon Travel Blog, so what's up with the poetry? Well both myself and Jenn are writers, poets and authors! We actually met through the very poetry we write, and our story is indeed fully intertwined with it. We both want to share our words with you as part of our travels, our mission to create and inspire, and our very core at Closer Lives!

Fusion

Tickle my senses
Go on an offensive
This love is relentless
A treat for my synapses
Constantly changing
My nerves are tingling
Lust intermingling
This is a real thing
It makes me nervous
Sometimes I'm just stressed
Often mindless
Just the usual mess
Yet your love shines through
No matter what you do
Be it here or across oceans
You were always you
You rang me
Sang to me
Supported me
Cherished me
You made me feel whole
Reborn with a soul
No longer a puppet
A soldier to coin
You rebuilt my peace
Piece by piece
You gave me hope
Confidence galore
Confiscated darkness
Threw it to the floor
Stomped on it
Squished it
Made it no more
Even then I knew not
What you had in store
The reserves
Of hope
Of peace and love
Warmth in your berth
I can't get enough
So beautiful you are
From near or from far
That is just you
You are the star
Like a rocket
We launched
And damn did we fly
Fuelled by love
My oh my
We reached the sky
Above and beyond
Despite what is said
The darkness was gone
A universe sparked
Atoms vibrating
Sensationally charged
Never abating
Just two hearts
Fused by the sun
Two soul's linked
Bonded as one

I have been writing poetry since I was in my mid-teens and find it completely natural to express myself through written word. I am from the UK but I am now a full time slow traveling digital nomad after meeting my amazing fiancé Jenn on Instagram, as part of my journey as an author.
My writing has always been unpredictable and without structure; it is freestyle from completely random moments when I feel compelled to write. My content is mainly long form and focuses on love, heartbreak and life.
My debut book, Out of the Shadows, centres on genuine experiences in love, heartbreak and life. Its main focus is the understanding and healing that is needed with such intense emotions. I express in rhythmic manner leaning more towards creative writing, although poetry is the general category!
