Romantic love story of two poets who found love online and now travel the world

Welcome to Closer Lives and our story! This is a brief synopsis of how we met, told from the beginnings of heartbreak to an epic journey crossing continents and now slow travelling full time around the world!
We were both recovering heartbroken poets on Instagram (cliché we know but it's true) in Feb 2019, where we met and found a fairy-tale of a relationship. It's funny how the universe likes to do these things right!?.
Jenn was living in Canada and Leon was living in England. We've shared us physically meeting for the first time in Australia for a Royal Caribbean cruise and our story from there with our followers, fans and friends on Instagram. It was a pretty natural and unintentional thing for us to do really, especially after both being quite active members of the poetry community on Instagram prior to us connecting.
We actually read poetry LIVE on Instagram and had a community poetry platform page where we featured and shared others' work for years. We only recently stopped this when our full-time travels began as it was too much to manage with our new endeavours.
We got engaged at Aphrodite's Rock in Cyprus after four months and a previous one-month long date (imagine a first date lasting one month and covering 5 countries, needless to say we got to know each other QUITE well!). Travel has always and always will be a part of our journey; Leon moved to Canada with me in September 2019.
Thankfully we were able to be together throughout the on-goings of 2020; something we are ever grateful for as so many couples were unable to see one another or be together during that difficult time.
In January 2021 we decided to make some more major life changes. changing not only our lifestyle but also our careers. We sold, donated and stored all of our possessions and rented out our property to head out for the digital nomadic lifestyle. Go big or go home right?! It's kind of how we do things…
It's like our motto.... our entire relationship required so much trust and faith in both one another and the universe... but a life lived boldly and bravely will indeed be one to be remembered... so here we are 15 months later with 24 countries together under our belt in 3 years...
We plan to see, learn, love and share as much of the world with others as possible. That is why we created www.CLOSERLIVES.com , to create a community for like-minded individuals and to help bring the world a little closer together through poetry, history, storytelling, healing, art, purpose and community.
